Welcome to a New School Year
Hope you had a wonderful summer. Kids enjoyed the summer camp and now It’s back to work.
We are planning for an exciting school year. Our staff consist of loving teachers who truly love kids. Ms. Priyani, she will be teaching the four- and five-year old. Ms. Shirani, the 3-year-old. Ms. Maria, will take the 2-year-old class. We have Ms. Deepika, Ms. Amiri and Ms. Lina with our infants.
Morning schedules provide for the learning opportunities, and the afternoon schedules have nap time, creative play and exploring to use their motor developmental skills, which is all needed at this tender age. We would like all children to be at school not later than 9:15 a.m. Being Punctual and good attendance is good for your child’s learning process.
Sign in and out
Please sign in and out your child every day. Sign out book is now in the hallway. Pick up time for full-time students is at 6 p.m. You will have to pay $1 a minute after 6:05, To the teacher in charge. Our school is a year-round school, and it’s not closed for summer we need TWO-WEEK NOTICE.
Emergency Cards and Licensing papers
Emergency Cards and Licensing papers must be up to date. If you change your telephone number, work number please update it with the school. Anyone other than the person on your pickup list must bring a valid ID and you must inform us ahead of time. They must have a car seat too. If we think the person is under the influence of drugs or alcohol, we will not release the child.
Uniforms
Uniforms are a must Monday through Thursday it is a school rule no exceptions! Nap time for sheets and a large towel should be provided each week they will be sent home for washing on Friday. Please remember we will be fined by Licensing if your child does not have one. The fine will be paid by you, and we get a violation. Please don’t forget to bring it washed on Monday. Diapers and wipes should be sent every week or keep a stock in the cubby. Potty training will start when you are ready to follow at home. Pull ups should be worn at this time.
Homework
Homework will be given on Monday to be returned on Friday. Please supervise the homework but not do it for the child. Please make it a habit to review class work too. A lot of penmanship practice is important too along with recognizing numbers and letters. Use flash cards, they will love it. Limit TV time during weekdays. Reading books is the best thing you can do for your child. Trips to the library are also good for them. You will make lasting memories for your child.
Accidents, illness and injuries
Your child in preschool will get sick till their immune system gets stronger so do expect this. Any contagious illness should be reported to us so we can separate them from the rest. We are very transparent with our health policy and will not hide it from you. Whether its Covid or headlice we will put out a memo. Please take the necessary steps before you return your child to school with a doctor’s note. Vaccines are now available please ask your doctor and get your child vaccinated. If your child has fever, he/she cannot return to school till they are fever free for 24 hours. Runny nose with excessive yellow mucus needs some rest at home too. Coughs that take longer periods to get better we understand that. Check with your doctor please.
Discipline
We at Royal Montessori believe a child learns best when there is discipline. We strive hard to teach it to your children in a loving caring way. Sharing with friends and playing safely is our utmost priority. If we have any discipline problem that concerns the safety of other children, we will have a conference with the parents and plan how to resolve the problem TOGETHER.
