Welcome to February!

We hope you have had a chance to have your parent-teacher conferences with your child’s teacher. Please take the teachers suggestions and work with your child.

Our theme this month is Love. Teachers will talk to children about how they can show love to one another, speak kind words, etc. We will also learn about Presidents, and its also Black History Month.

The Valentines Day party is on February 14th. Your teachers will let you know what they want. Children can bring cards for the whole class. Just write your child’s name on the from line. Ms Shyamala’s class can write their name for practice by themselves. Please don’t send any candy with nuts. Every child can bring a bag of individually wrapped candy to be on the safe side.

Ms.Maria’s class is still very young. We want them to speak. She shows objects and pictures and wants them to repeat words. Please repeat words like please, water, sorry, up, down, yes, no, and thank you at home. They enjoy coloring and artwork. If you think your child has a speech delay reach out to Reginal Center and get evaluated for no cost. Help is there till your child reaches 3 years old. We have therapists coming to school to help if the child needs help.

Ms. Shirani’s class couting up to 10, writing to 3, alphabets some easy letters, and learning colors and shapes.

Ms. Priyani’s class – learning numbers up to ten. Most can do it. Alphabets up to K. Reviewing shapes and colors. Children must come to school on time to be able to learn all this. The class starts at 9:30.

Ms. Shyamalas’s class – this class has different levels. Your parent-teacher conference would have helped you to find out how your child is doing. In this class, your child must be able to recognize alphabets and letters. By the end of June. they must read three-letter words, do addition and subtractions, and write numbers up to 100. PLEASE BE ON TIME FOR CLASS. Your child will have a difficult time learning if he/she is tardy.

February 17th Presidents Day Holiday.

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!
